I have 4.30 gears in my 5.0 automatic and dont really want to change them, but i want automatic. would that be way to much for a manual car??? also would it be feasible to start in second gear when drag racing with out beating the crap out of the tranny? thanks for the help guys

ps, if anyone has a manual with 4.30 gears please tell me how it is, (not to worried about streetability)

First and second gear will be lightning fast and useless.

You should be o.k if not worried about highway. You should get the T-5Z with 2.95 first and .63 5th

If you are building a drag car, keep it automatic and swap in a C4.

well its going to be a drag car.... but not fully drag car orientated because it is also going to be my dd (but i dont care about gas millage that much) so i was thinking since i would only be draggin a couple times a year (5or so) i would go with a 6 speed or 5 speed to keep it fun on hte street and lower the rpm while on the highway
