door handle removal

Default door handle removal

talking about the outside handle. do i just drill these rivets out or when i buy a rivet gun does it have a setting to remove rivets also.

I bolted mine back in. 1/4" bolts ftw!!

I used some stainless button head boltsto put mine back on. An allen wrench is muck cheaper than one of those huge rivit guns I'd never use again!

the rivet gun is only 24 bucks. i am going to be doing alot of door work soon so i am probably just going to splurge and get it.

I just replaced my door handles last Sunday... I drilled the old rivits out and used allen head screws to put in the new ones since my rivit gun wouldnt work with those big rivits haha

do you know if all of the rivets in the door are all the same size. do you need a different rivet gun for every size rivet cause that would suck.

all the rivets that were stock were the same size... i just drilled them out and instead of putting the rivets in that came with my door handle I just used stainless button head bolts.

I am pretty sure the rivets that came with my door handles are the same size as stock.
