Do I stand a chance against a 300zx TT?

Yeah, very true. The only thing that I think might give me a chance for a short while is the fact that he is turbo. I road in the car, up till about 4000 rpm the car doesn't have much *****, then it starts pulling like hell. I think if we went from a dig, I could get the jump on him, then it's just a matter of trying to stay ahead.

Yeah those 300 zx are heavy *** cars. They run low 14's factory and are pretty slow off the line but are pretty killer top end. Always seemed slow to me but I had an ls1. Would love to run one in my 5.0 tho.

They require some kind of a chip and a boost controller to hit 13's consistantly. Which is simple enough, but once you've overboosted the stock turbo's long enough and start having oil problems, it really isnt worth it. I had a buddy that owned 3 of them, and he ran 12's with a few bolt-ons and lots of boost, but ****ed his turbo's up every time. I also had a friend with a srt-4 with no mods but a boost controller that could keep up with my ls1 on the street and ran low 13's at the track, but he also tore up a buncha ****. All these turbo guys think because they physically can make it go that fast, means that it really is that fast. Running 20 psi stock is not a good idea...

It depends on how good the spool up is if you ask me, long time ago it seems, I had a Skyline, and Nissan based Turbo's are ****ing ****ty low boost makes a V-8 out of a six banger deal. And 300ZX's have exhaust issues, so look his rear pipes over, may hint how good the motor's runnin.
Then the last thing you need to think about is if he's running 14's, you should be able to keep up fairly well, even with the heavy SN95 body.
