Default cooling problem! stumped

I have a problem with my cooling system. I put a new 2 row with 3" core aluminum radiator,a new electric fan that im runningnon stop, new 180 thermostat, and a newhigh flow water pump on my motor. If im driving the car at like 55 or 60 MPH it will run about 180 but soon as I hit the city and slow down the car will slowly start running hotter and hotter. Im almost positive that the new water pump that I bought is a counter clockwise turning pump like my motor turns it, and if it wasn't I dont think it would run around 180 at all. totally lost

How hot are we talking? Meaning how hot does it get in city traffic or at a redlight?

how many cfm does your fan draw or avertises to draw??? also what size is it and how much surface area of the radiator is left uncovered by the fan??? a dual fan set up may achieve better results on a high hp motor

Are you sure there are no air pockets in the system?

Well it will gradually get hotter from 185 and I have seen it get all the way up to 205 maybe 210. Thats in the city going from light to light and when that happens I try to get moving fastso I can put it in neutral and let the engine idel with the wind blowing on the radiator. The fan is a Torqflow that i bought off the shelf at a parts store and i dont know the CFM but it blows some air if you ask me. When I put the new radiator in and filled it with coolent I let it burp itself but im not positive all air is out of the system, is there a way to get all air out that im not aware of?

burp the system. first. second buying an electric fan just off the shelf......i doubt it pulls enough CFM's. what kind of surface coverage does the fan have over the rad? does it shroud the completely cover the rad? or is it just a fan thats up there?

the way i did mine is i left the rad capp off. then when the car reachesopperating temp and thetherm opened and the coolant went in the block i addedsome coolant to the "full when hot" line. i havent had a single problem and ive done it this way twice. i dont know if this is wrong but i know i havent had any problems.

I can't tell by the pictures you posted. Do you have a fan shroud? Even with a lower than needed CFM fan on there a fan shrould will help direct that air better.

are you pushing or pulling air on the fan? common mistake with electric fans.

also with lower than needed CFM fan with fan shroud would still cause it to overheat standing still........because its lower than needed. i might help better than nothing but its stil lower than needed.

also i noticed in the picture, you need some convaluted tubing over your wires along the firewall.....bad idea to leave them exposed like that.
