I called my local mechanic last week about all my idle problems and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday. He found several leaks on the lower intake and said that he was going to have to pull the lower off and replace the gaskets. He said he would try to have it done on Wednesday but plan for Thursday. I called him today around noon and he said that they were putting it back together and he dropped a washer down in the intake, so he was going to have to pull the entire thing apart to try and find it. He is not sure where it went.

Incredibly frustrated. I have been off the last two days on house arrest because I've got no wheels. I go back on shift Saturday - this sucks.

Sorry man, at least he admitted his mistake and will correct it. He could have buttoned her up and given it back then claimed you damaged the engine.

Very true... thats why I have taken my cars to this guy forever. I trust him and he does good work. It's hard to find honest mechanics at a fair price. I just wish he was done already.
