fiberglass hood
has anyone made or know someone who has made their own fiberglass hood?
i knew a kid who made his own carbon fiber hood which turned out very well. not as good looking as maybe a mass produced one. but it did look good and its was strong and light.
the only problem is that he no longer lives around me, last i heard he moved to AZ or something to work for lexsus after he got out of wyotech.. so i cant ask him how he did it, if it was hard, what he used.
does anyone know where to find a step by step. i just want to see whats involved with it. does anyone know what kind of cores are used to make fiberglass or carbon fiber? can you use your stock hood as a "moulding" maybe not just your hood but fenders ect....

all i have to say to that guy is....WOW! thats intense. i dont have the funding or resources for carbon fiber. i think i might try a hand at fiberglassing some small stuff....see how it comes out. i've fiber glassed a a sub box before but that all flat. is it the same stuff/ methodessentially? does anyone know?
