Why so slow?

Why so slow?
I took my car to the track for the first time this year and the first time with my new setup last night and was highly disappointed.
It ran a best of 14.3 at 101 on drag radials.
I was expecting mid 13's or better.
Here's the setup:
Engine/Exhaust Modifications:
-AFR 165 heads with upgraded springs
-Harland Sharp 1.6 roller rockers
-Flowtech Induction custom ground Comp Cams camshaft
-Edelbrock Performer upper and lower intake manifolds
-MAC 70mm throttle body
-BBK Fenderwell Cold air intake
-Ford Racing valve covers
-Ford Racing shorty chrome headers
-Flowmaster catback exhaust with Force II mufflers
-Taylor 8.2mm ignition wires
-ProForm underdrive pullies on waterpump and crank
-overdriven alternator (used stock 75 amp pulley on 130 amp alternator)
-MSD ignition cap, rotor and coil
-130 amp alternator from a '95 Mustang GT
-BBK offroad X pipe
-Ford Racing 24 lb/hour fuel injectors
-Granatelli MAF sensor calibrated for 24 lb injectors
-smog pump delete
-160* thermostat
Transmission/Drivetrain Modifications:
-B&M Hammer shifter
-Ford Racing 4.10 gears
-aluminum driveshaft
-B&M transmission cooler
-ACC Boss Hog 2800-3200 stall converter
-B&M Transpak shift kit
Suspension/Brake/Wheel & Tire Modifications:
-aftermarket rear upper and lower control arms
-KYB GR2 rear shocks
-KYB GR2 front struts
-rear 5 lug swap using Ford Ranger axles and drums
-front 5 lug conversion using '94 Mustang front spindles and calipers
-SMR torque box reinforcements (welded and bolted in)
-drilled and slotted front rotors with Bosch brake pads
-Hankook K106 tires on 2003 v6 Mustang 16" wheels
-255/60 Mickey Thompson ET Streets drag radials on 15" v6 Mustang wheels for the track
-Kenny Brown subframe connector
Shouldnt this setup be good for better than what it ran?

RE: Why so slow?
You should be running a mid to low 13. Trap is there anyways. What were your 60' times? If you were spinning really bad I suppose that could have caused it. You should be running a whole lot better than a 14.

RE: Why so slow?
60' was 2.4.
I didnt really notice any spinning but its hard to tell when in the car. I had the drag radials on it too. They were aired down to 18 psi, then 15 psi.
I havent had a chance to get the car tuned (also a bit of a $ issue right now) but I dont think tuning will get me a second faster.
It didnt matter if I shifted the car manually or left it in overdrive (forgot to drop it to drive the first run). With it in overdrive it ran a 14.320. With me shifting thru the gears it ran a 14.302 and a 14.5 (got warmed up in the staging lanes waiting for the next run).

RE: Why so slow?
i think you should upgrade to a performer rpm intake and larger heads, it should match the rest of your package better. Just sounds like you engine needs to breath and the performer intake will starve the amount of air you need with this setup. good luck
when my car was stock 1994 5.0 i was runing 14.1 with miner mods and street tires my 60 foot time was 2.6 wow[]it sucked but i still ran 14s note: my car was gutted already and had racing seats no interer.
work in progress same car
331 strocker DSS
650 mighty deamon carb
victor jr intake
202 194 world products heads
comp cams .600 .576
2 stage nos 175 and 250 shot
full hooser slicks 28x11
and so on
almost done hopfully everything will work okay looking for high 9s low 10s.[sm=nxsmile.gif]

RE: Why so slow?
I just bought these heads and the intake was on it already when I bought it. The cam is ground to the specs of my heads and intake, etc. Its got a 550 lift (exhaust) and 534 lift (intake).
Its still a stock bottom end 302 so its just bolton stuff.
Last year with stock heads, gears, etc it ran a 15.3 at 90 without alot of mods.

So you've changed heads, cam, intake, throttle body, MAF and injectors, and you don't think you need to tune it? Maybe i'm missing something, but that would be the first thing i would do. But that's just me... (and yes, proper tuning can get you a lot faster)
