I wouldn't claim to have more knowledge than other members of the forum. I'm not an Ed Curtis or a Jay Allen (I don't know if these guys even post here, but whatever) and I would never claim to be. Your own math actually substantiates what I said anyway and that's even with the 5.400" oil burner rod. With the 5.315" rod the ratio gets ever so slightly worse. Does it make a huge difference in the real world? I doubt it.

Adder: Which heads are you going with? The 195 Canfields sound very tempting.
