Default dynoed today and

was expecting the horsepower numbers but was very surprised by my torque.

187.4 horsepower and 252 ft lbs.

i knew the horsepower would be about there considering its basically stock(just have exhaust and intake) and with 172xxx miles.
but i didnt know the torque would be that high. is this normal? prolly a stupid thing but i figured it would be around 200 not 250.

also this was on a portable dyno and are these any less accurate than a built in dyno?

oh wow i didnt think i made that much torque.

and yeah my motor is pretty beat. the last two owners really put this car through a living hell and its a miracle it still runs as good as it does.
so 3-8 horsepower less than what it had from the factory is pretty good to me.

beat is a good word here.
exhaust and intake should be giving you close to another 10-12hp over stock, so i would expect to see around 210 on a good sealing motor.

Try comparing that Mustang to a wheed whacker of the same model year

Still though, I'd avoid racing any of the newer rice for the sake of embarassment prevention [8D]

When you say exhaust are you saying headers, o/r mid pipe or do you just have flowmasters? Just flowmasters isn't gonna give you a noticable gain. Also do you have a cold air kit or intake manifold. If you just have flowmasters and a cold air kit those numbers are about right.
