OMG!!! Found out something else from last night. I pulled EVERY spark plug wire to replace htem.. 3 of them were burnt a bit.. all were good the other day.. so I zip tied them up to keep them off my headders.. and this kills me.. no idea how htis happened.. the distributor retaining bolt was just a little loose... and somehow, inbetween here and the track, it shifted... all the way down. I was running at -10* of timing, turned ALL the way down. How the hell did this thing even START on that timing?????
Redid some wiring htis morning and it is running a TON better now, fixed the timing and retightend the bolt.. gonna have to watch that. no idea why it came loose.

Found a 4th wire that was burnt... none of these were burnt the other day when I changed plugs.. think it could have been REALLY hot on the headders from the timing being way off..... cleaned them up a bit to look them all over closely:

dang thats crazy your timing was that far off! those wires have seen their better days haha
