When I switch my turn signals on(both left and right) they won't blink - they just stay on like the headlights. Has anyone else ever had this problem? thanks

If they just stay on meaning right or left side stays lite up....then I d' check the flasher late model mustangs have 2 one is for the 4 way flasher circuit and one is for the turn signal circuit....some are located in the fuse box others are located just up above the steering colum on a ledge.........andas I was doing my heater core I noticed one yesturday to the left of the glove box on a ledge behind the dash...but I can't remember if that was the 4 way flasher one ...either way consult a manual to get exact location for yours.....if that doesn't fix it check all bulbs a shorted bulb socket or incorrect bulb can cause simialr symptoms but being that both the left an dright are doing the same thing...check the flasher first......it's cylindrical looking and contains a bimetallic strip that as it heat and cools as current passes through it makes and breaks the circuit which gives you the flashing effect...all this happens so quick it's almost instant...but more often then not they go bad
