I'm talking about the lil silver round thing that looks likes its connected to the rusted piece but it's actually not connected at all....ideas on wtf it is?





I obviously need to get it fixed tomorrow so please!!!! Someone help!! My manuals don't show what part it is!!

It's a check valve for your aspirator tube for the emissions stuff

It's a check valve for emissions. The front part goes to the smog pump that probably has been removed by someone prior to you owning the car.

Finally, an answer. Ok so if it's disconnected at the big rusty bolt thing, what do I need to get at the auto store to fix it? Pretty please!!!!

it's called the anti-backfire gulp valve I believe

you'll have to get a new valve but check out 50resto .com for the new tube assembly napa /autozone won'y have 'em.

Thanks, checked out the check valve. Like $100 but what tube assembly? Forgive me for I am blonde, I cannot find the tube?

Yea mine broke when i put my off road pipe on and i just plugged it and its been that way for quite some time no leaks.. I used a bolt with 2 washers with a rubber piece in the middle..

I looked at the check valve. That is the silver piece that is on top of the house. That "silver thing" is not connected to the left rusted out bolt looking thing. That is still a check valve? According to the pick of 50resto, that is the part that is off to the right of my pic.

You are talking about the part connected to the hose and the hose clamp correct? If so, that is the check valve. The aspirator tube is the piece to the left the valve screws onto. That runs down to your converters.
