u should switch to a solid roller, much better for the track.get some great slicks. put a carb on it, up the compression since this doesnt seem to be a street car, or a friendly one at that.

AS much weight reduction as possible....even with 3100 poundswith driver its gonna take pro 430 RWHP or more to touch a 10 slip...now get the cars weight down to 2900 or lesswith driver...and its very possible..

Replace the front end with full tubular suspension, scrap power steering fo for a manual steering set up

thats about 300lbs in savings... take out passenger seat, rear seat, spare. jack, fiber glass hood, fiberglass hatch thers another 150lbs in savings give or take...

my friend has a 9 second hatch and he has all his windows replaced with this special plastic stuff that weighs next to nothing, find out about it and do that, and there you go 10s

OK, I'm looking at buying the QA1 Pro-Active System. It includes a tubular k-member & lower control arms w/heim joints (not bushings), 10 way adjustable struts & coil-over 175lb. front springs.

How much of a weight savings will this be worth over stock.I'm trying to do what ever it takes to drop weight. I never weighed the car before but I'm bassing my weight on what similiar car's weight.

How much in weight savings do you think all this is worth including the QA1 set-up?
Removed front and rear inner bumpers, removed all smog/emission junk, no PS pump and lines, removed A/C compressor and lines, fiberglass hood, gutted interior (this included no sound deadner, no interior panels, no back seat, single kirkey race seat, aluminum heads (50lb gain over stock), all unessesary wires were removed underhood.

Do you think with all this stuff removed, and with the QA1 system, good traction and around 380-400rwhp it will knock off a 10.99999 ?

yea with a good drive good shifting and a 2 step to leave the line at like 5500 rpm and shift up high like 6500+ and some slicks. so good luck and egt that car weighed with the tubular front end and everything you have done in that list hyou will prob weigh less than what you think you could get rid of the dash in favor of an alluminum sheet metal one and get that car weighed and find out how much it is make sure you have a good tune also

I don't see that combo making 400 rwhp but lets just say it did , you need to knock out some weight to run 10's . I'd say your combo at your weight is a 11.50-11.60 ET at about 116 mph on themotor alone.

My one older freind says my car won't touch a 10.99 just because his car didn't. I really want to prove him wrong so I can rub in his face. The best his car ever ran was a 11.56 @118 MPH with a 306ci, 11.0.1 compression, untouched AFR 185 heads, X303 cam, Trickflow Track heat intake, Ext.............With 28x10.5 slicks, 4.30 gears, QA1 Pro-Active system and his car weighed 3000lbs flat with him in it. He only let the line at 4500rpms barley pulling the wheels off. It made 340rwhp/ 350rwtq @6200rpms.

My car made 335rwhp/ 315rwtq @only 6100rpms with 55psi fuel psi and 12* base timing on 93 octane. I then switched to a trickflow box intake & hooker 1 3/4" headers. I think it should make around 380+rwhp @ around 7000rpm.

I think the engine is capable of it but I'm just worried about the weight.

The cam is what killed his car. Go to someplace like FTI and have them do a cam for you.
