How much have you spent so far?
So I bought a 91 Fox back in Feb 07 to be a nice lil project. My original idea was to fix it up nicely while leaving room for improvement then sell it. Since I've bought the car back in Feb, I've spent more than 6G's on the car and although it's close to where I want it, it's still Not done. There's no way I'm going to get my 7-8 Grand back that I've pumped into this car so I probably won't even sell it. Or stop pumping money into it now and just get rid of it. These cars are serious money pits [&o]
How much have you guys invested in your foxes and would you sell it? If so, how much would you sell it for? There's no way I'd feel comfortable pumping 7-8G's in this car then sell it for 4-5G (if that!)

I have around 13 in mine... I will not get what I put into it and I don't care becauseI am not going to sell it. Its almost impossible to get out of what you have put into a used car. Unless its some kind of classic or a collectible it will never happen. It has nothing to do with the brand, thats just reality.

My ol lady told me I have spent nearly $8K on my project. I don't even have the engine in the car yet, much less being where I want it. I ain't worried about money as far as selling it. I don't care about that part at all, what I do care about is having what I want. If it is gonna cost me 10K to do it, then so be it. You will be giving yourself ulcer's if you are worried about getting back what you put in the car game. If you are that concerned, maybe you should cut your losses and get out of hot rodding. Just my humble opinion, please take no offense.

Basically, you need to accept if youre selling your car, each mod you put on is only worth HALF of what you paid for it. At least thats what people are doing in the car market now. Me, Ive put a couple grand, but its ok cause Im not planning on selling.
Mods that do raise value: Paint, wheels. You need to find a buyer who is into cars, who knows whats what in order to get a reasonable price.

Oh ok. So that's cool then. I've done a lot to this car so far and I have stuff on order that hasn't reached as yet. Just now I was out trying to find and fix some little minor things and I went to start the car, and got nothing. Battery is fine, no lights on the dash or anything and the car won't crank. Not even from the starter solenoid. So this is just something else I'll have to fix now. Man I'm tired.
