I would definately get a new water pump and oil pump. I wouldnt worry about PS or alternator till they go dead

You should get everything new, it will eventually go in a bad place or time

do they make higher performance type pumps for oil and water that would work better or would just regular replacement parts be alright?

depending on where/who builds your engine... you may infact not need anything more than a stock pump.

Woody from fordstrokers was very firm on me NOT running a HV pump in my new stroker... he said to run a stock flow pump.

he also recommended 0w20 oil....
