Lugnuts are setup a lot better on welds. Personally I think my summit skinnies are a waist. A 7" weld wheel with a 205/65/15 wieghs less than a 15x4 summit wheel w/ 165r15 tire.

I have run S rated tires on the back of my stang for years with no problems. Radial t/a's I currently have H rated BFG's in the front.
I would at least go with a H rating all around for handling. I'm putting 4" wheels on the front of mine, so handling is gone out the window. It's not a daily driver anymore though.
