Default Running Like A Champ!

Ok guys got everything sorted out, got it in good time, all set. Car pulls like a freight train after 3000 rpm's, it will spin all the way to 7 or 8 ifI let it. I found out all the mods on the motor to.
302 bored .30 over Ross Pistons
GT40 heads with bowl work and stage 2 porting
Cobra Intake, ported and matched to the heads
BBK cold air
Edelbrock 70mm TB
FM maf
FM Dizzy
FM 9mm wires
March underdrive pullies
Electric fan
Gear drive timing set (noisy)
BBK Billet FPR
Holley Fuel pump
BBK full length headers
Mac off road H pipe
Flows
Eibach Sportline Springs and Macpherson struts and shocks

This should be good for some HP, I will not totally know whats going on until I get the 4.10 gear in and have the tranny modded to accomidate. The guy suggested the motor to be in the 400+ range. I will have it dyno'd as soon as I can get evreything into action.

Unless i'm missing something, i don't see that making over 250 rwhp. That...and there's no way you should be running up to 7 or 8K rpms [&:]

i agree man...you are nowhere near 400hp...and word of warning, you keep revving it up to 7 or 8k, and BOOM

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, I think the part list is legit as I can see almost all of the mods myself. He told me the hp was in that range, but i am thinking more in the 300 (at the crank)range myself, as I have not had any experience with ford motors I wanted to see what you guys thought. I will have the car dyno'd and find out exactly what I have asap, but I will wait till I have gone through the tranny and the rear, and if this motor will not spin 7000 grand now, it will when I am done. I have never owned a small block that wouldn't turn that without problems. I am going to purchase another short block 302 and build a stroker this winter for a winter project. I have not built a ford motor yet and have been dieing to do so,lol. If I can squeeze 475 hp out of a 305 GM then I know I can do the same with the 5.0 302, overall it is a much better design than the 305. I will keep you guys updated.

you spin a stock external balance 50 ounce 302 bottom end up that high and the mains and or rods are gonna grow some wings.....you also better have one heck of a cam and intake combo, which I don't see you having or that thing will run out of steam long before then.......if your going off a factory tach, I wouldn't trust that too much for pin point accuracy
