Hey everyone...I have a fairly new clutch(about two months old) and a ford racing adjustable clutch cable. I am having problems putting the car into gear, i pretty much have to force it into every one...I have the cable tightened pretty tight, and i dont want it to break...so I was just wondering if someone has any adjustment tips. By the way I have a '93 gt with a t-5. Thanks.
Adjust it tighter before you ruin your syncros! The pedal is hitting the floor before the clutch is releasing from the flywheel. If that doesn't fix it, then you may need a new pilot bearing... or the syncros are already toast.
im hoping the syncros aren't shot....if so im lookin to rebuild. I guess I'll make it tighter. does anyone know a person the rebuilds tranny's in the bay area?
so i tightened the **** out of the cable, and apparently that was the problem. I just dont want to keep going through cables...hopefully this one will last a while.
