No way those heads are too big.

especially for a 7000 rpm solid cam motor.
Whats the compression ratio?

Good work !!!

Again, whether or not a head is too big depends on the application. In this case, the heads work, but also keep in mind that there are guys making just as much power using a smaller head. 205cc heads on a mild 347 would be too big, but with the right cam/intake they work. But on any engine you can easily get everything to work together with big parts, and end up with an engine that runs in an rpm range so high that it becomes unstreetable. You also have to consider use, what's the point of having an engine that doesn't make power under 4,000rpm if the engine spends nearly all of it's time under 4,000rpm? Same thing with going too small, what's the point of building an engine with no power past 6,000rpm if it spends nearly all it's time past 6,000rpm(ie, a race engine with too small of a head). It all gets back to the application and the build

thanks guys got tuned sat,im in fl and its rained all week here, ill be going to the track soon, the tranny is a tko 5 speed zoom clutch, got nitto drags on the car for street but the car spins the nittos like street tires 3 gear at 3500rpm stomp up in smoke, so traction is a prob right now

ORIGINAL: 92gtafr205

just got this car dynoed last week. 342 dnd motorsports comk hawk 205 afr heads with 80cc exhaust ports running a 80mm holley thottle body, 42lbs injectors, 90mm lighting mass air, erson coustom grind soild roller cam, 238 240@.50 598 600 lift edelbrock rpm 2 ported to heads an thottle body on the motor with 45lbs fuel press 18 timming put down 441rwhp max rpm was 7000 still making power,so some ppl say these heads are to big for the 347 guess its the parts you use very happy with numbers
