smoothed over antenna
Ok, I've searched the forums and I can't find any solutions to my ugly plastic antenna flopping in the wind.
I'm going to take this thing off ASAP, but I'm still looking for either a flat antenna I can put in it's place or a decent hidden antenna that would allow me to at least smooth the antenna housing down and get rid of this thing.. I don't care about AM reception, or even FM really, I listen to my ipod or cd's mostly, so aesthetics of my poor fender are the utmost concern for me.
welding and painting are not options in my price range right now, neither are fiberglass fenders.
Are those antennas I see on people's cars any good? Are there any decent aftermarket solutions to this that will save me fabrication time?
I'm still looking, sorry if this has been adressed, but in the posts I saw it hadn't.

RE: smoothed over antenna
I also wanted to get rid of the external antenna and wanted something that wasn't as obvious so I went with the Autoloc hidden antenna so when I had my car painted I had the antenna hole welded up and smooth out.

Reception is about 90% of what it was with the OE antenna; be it AM or FM.
Since you said welding and paint aren't options at this time you could get the delete plate from 50 resto and install the Autoloc hidden antenna.
Just a suggestion.
