Well the Time has come...
So yeah I was thinking of selling....
haha just kidding! I need to do the heater core tonight since im freezing my ***** off in the mornings and feel ambitious (SP). The dash has already been out 3 times so only half the screws are in to hold me back! If this new one leaks then im taking the whole HVAC system out and saving weight! haha

RE: Well the Time has come...
When I did mine a made a resistrictor plug for the pressure side of the core. I've heard various reports that all 5.0s had them from the factory, or just SSP cars. Either way, mine has one now.
FYI - If you do this, expect it take awhile to get some good heat going.

+1 on the distilled water and high quality heater cores. I just did theone in my truck, which is easy as pie thankfully (just have to pop the glove box out), but I used a cheapie one from Advance Auto and it literally broke the next day! After that I just said screw it and ran a short heater hose to each tubeon the water pumpand the thermostat housing to bypass it. I live in FL so it's not like I need heat anyway and if I move somewhere cold I can just pop a new core in within 15 min.
