Depending on where you are located, you should look for rust in all of the critical areas such as the underbody, floorpans, rear quarter panels etc. Also just look for a fox with a really nice body and interior. It doesn't really matter how many miles are on it because if you plan to mod it big, then a new shortblock will probably be in the future anyhow.

Another big thing is the chassis. The unibody has a tendency of twisting if the car was abused. So look for any sign of leaning one way or the other (usually lower on the pass. side). Don't forget to check out the torque box's as they are the weak point of our 4-pt. rear's. Good luck! There are many unmolested Fox's out there, hope you can find one.

i have been looking for 89-93 stangs and was wondering since this will be a project car is it practicle to buy a mustang LX (4cylined) and do the 5.0 swap or is there a lot more involved like different tranny fuel set up and anything else. im asking cuz i see a million 4 cylineds for sale but not too many 5.0 LX's so want just fondering if this is a common swap or not??

nothing wrong with 87-88's you can easily convert them to a maf setup.. dont listen to people who only say 89-93

Very easy swap. You want to do your own suspesion depending on your intentions. So you know a 4 cyl can only be abused so much, 105 hp? Pick your parts and do it yourself
