you just need to turn on the stock amp....hook up the blue/white wire on the other harness.

Just looked at the diagram for the prem sound, and from the factory head unit there are less wires going to the amp, so it is a propreitary wiring. Just use the other plugs, which will bypass the amp, and let the new radio power the speakers and there shouldn't be any problems.

well as far as i know...the amp is under the passenger seat, so unless he wants to rewire it from there, i dont know what else to tell you. i have mine wired through the stock amp...it works fine. its just hard on it.

The amp in my car is under the passenger seat. every one that i have hooked up had a blue and white wire that had to be together or it wouldnt work. i couldnt hear any sound even though i had all of my speaker wires. all the harnesses have had a blue and white wire atleast all the ones ive seen.

on the fox bodies in my experience the bypass hrns in up behind the glove box. Follow the hrns you have back and you will find it. Disconnect it from the other hrns(the amp output) and pull the hrns that you can plug your end into down to the radio and you are done.
page 2 of my sig shows the bypass hrns on my 94gt. It is in a different location on the sn95 but then hrns looks the same and works the same.

Not behind, but the plug is tied up inthe dash. Look for a zip tie looking thing that is holding a bunch of harnesses together. (sortof uderneath the a/c controls)

Thanks ttocs... that is very similar... thanks for the pics,
And jhall01, your ride must be a 93, as those had the factory amp under the passenger seat.
