is it necessary to put it up on jackstands or could I get away without doing so?

Ricenator.... nice T-top. I'd personally pass on the jackstands since winter is at most like, what... 3 months? It's up to you though. If you're worried about flat spotting your tires cause they're new and really expensive, go for it. Otherwise I'd say your better off passing on the jackstands, leaving it on the tires, and that way if the wicked weather holds off, you can still pull it out every now and then anf go for a drive until they start throwing down the salt and sodium chloride.

I just plan on putting mine in the garage and pulling it out in the spring.

I put in my moms garage when they start saltin the roads. Then ill taker her out for a spin during winter when roads are clear & dry. Keep the gas tank full with or with out stabilizer.

My car sat on jack stangs all last winter with no problems. I usually leave it on the ground though.
