You know what's awesome??? While your car is sitting in the garage, I'll be out cruising the streets of north georgia, wind blowing through my hair, having a good ol' time. Yes, thats right. I'm southern by the grace of God. I was born here, and I'll die here.

Dont want to hijack the page but since the topic is storag, has anyone put down some sort of barrier on ground. Some of told me to do this to prevent further rusting. Any ideas?

i would say that a barrier wouldn't be a bad idea. i left my car sitting on concrete over the winter that was exposed to the elements and it rusted like a b!tch. i was pissed

Messing up a good storage routine will not kill your car. This thread is about good practices to make it last a long time without wear or deterioration.
Change the engine oil. Storing with old oil is a bad idea.
Remove the battery and bring it indoors.
Stabilizer is only for piece of mind. I've never used it and never had a problem. Long term storage, I'd recommend it.
As for starting it every couple weeks. That's not good for the crankcase or the exhaust. Idling will have a hard time burning off the moisture.
