there shouldn't be to much if any [heat extractor]. it'll prevent some heat soak compared to the stock hood. as for the "ram air" hood, if you get it from cervinis that has the ram air kit it'll provide fresh air for the engine. so a few extra might happen but thats bout it. so if you're choosing a hood, just do it for the looks or for clearance

If you run a carb like me you will have no freash air coming in but i could careless. But your engine will cool better.
