Default good deal on an 87?

my friends lookin at gettin an 87 gt(i think) 5.0 5sp. its all stock and has only 70k miles. the interior and engine look brand new but theres some minor body work needed. the paint is faded and theres some minor rust on the hatch and hood, and the front bumper will need to be replaced. so maybe some new panels and a new paint job. the guys only asking 1500 for it. if the car drives good my friends gonna buy it on the spot. this is a good deal right? seemed like a ****** to me.

not sure. thats what i was gonna ask. this would be a sd car right?
my friend knows basics about cars but i know he wont know wtf sd is so ill have to explain he should get the maf conversion.

but he dosent plan on doing much other than exhaust, gears, paint, and rims.

yeap a speed density car...it always starts like that, just gears, just tires, just a short throw, just a cold air intake and soon its just a race..and so on..lol...i would do a maf conversion down the road but for right now thats a great deal..

sounds like a alright deal. body work can get real expensive. ya gotta figure how much money it will take to get it to look good and how much your total cost would be. 1500 for the car plus 2500 in body work, paint, panels, bumpers, etc. so 4000 total. do you think you can get a nicer car for 4000? no to mention all of the headaches that will follow.

theres cheaper ways to do the conversion...some junk yards have the stuff and can get it done real cheap...just have to look around
