my car did the same thign but stayed at 2k rpm for idle, all i did was take a phillips head screw driver and turn the idle screw tot he left and dropped my idle down to 650 rpms to save fuel n such, now its fine, so id trythat, its before the throtlle body u should see it, its kinda separated form the other stuff

....that is not how to do it!!!!! you'll throw the tps off and inturn fuel mapping can be off......if you do that then an idle relearn and tps adjustment must be made......if you have an idle issue..look for a vaccum leak and also remove IAC and clean and or replace and retest
