RE: 4 cyl to V8 conversion
2 true hamutoff. i have a great grasp on wiring and whatnot, i mean i work on cars for a living.(no offense intended)u should see some of the CRAP i see sometimes. it gives me a headache. thats why i prefer to stick to the simpler stuff like direct swappage.and im sure most people on here would say electrical wiring can be come an absolute nightmare if u cant read schematics and understandhow 12v negative ground works. so i will agree with you in the instance that it will work if u have the time, patience, and understanding of how things work. good point!

Ah, found just the thread I was looking for!
btw, I'm new here, just acquired a '93 Foxbody and used the search feature to find this thread regarding the 4 banger to 5.0 swap. Aren't I a good new member? lol
All of the questions I had in my introduction post in the new member section were answered... thanks!

Oh wait, one question... is the 2.3 an interference engine or no? It's jumped time, so am I looking at bent valves? I'm just wondering if I could get the 4 banger running for now with a new timing belt until I buy the 5.0 and related parts.

I've had a 2.3 break the belt and run fine with a new one. I always heard they were interference motors but that particular car didn't damage anything. It was an automatic car, so the engine wasn't being turned by the driveline after the timing belt broke.
