Default what would you pay?

i found an 4 block local that is std bore and still needs all the machine work done to it. what would you pay for it?

I have no idea what they are worth, but from what i've read would love to have one. And it's standard bore to, awesome.

there fairly old now. as the R302 replaced it , and now the boss block has replaced the R block.

id pay like 4-500 for it. 302 4 bolt mains are hard to come by

you know you can buy a mexican block for 400 correct? were talking about an aftermarket block here. besides that i tried 600 cash they denied it

well ya. but u said that the r302 replaced this block and the boss block replaced the r302. so this is a 3 generations back block. so just cause its rare for a 302 block to have 4 bolt mains doesnt mean its made outta gold. some people just want somethin for nothin. how much do they want for it?

exactly the point i tried making to the guy but to no avail.

they want 1000 and i found out that it would need about 800bucks in machine work to be useable

then paying 400 or so aint being cheap. it just being realistic. just tell em, "good luck sellin a paperweight for 1000 bucks." geez, some people............

btw did u read my post about 4 cyl to v8 swaps? thats for somone who has a donor car and can only afford to do with what they got. just like i did.
