well my opinion... if its a decent deal, go for it... but at the very least id be having a machine shop clean them up, and dont be suprised as little things that come up... id get them resurfaced for sure, and you know already, use springs for YOUR cam, not whats on it...
but if the price is right, go for it, imo

If its a good deal, its worth it. I would suggest having the seller clean them before buying them to further inspect for any hairline cracks or other damages that may not be visible right now. God knows you'll be kickin yourself in your *** if you find a crack after the fact.

they said they will clean them up. whats the best way. they said they were going to spray the dirt off but are afraid because its cold that the water could freeze on something. any suggestions?

Seriously though: I would probably use a chemical like carb cleaner, wd40 or something similar. Don't know if that will work or not, its just what I would use.
