considering your that young, no offense im only 20, the rates will be a little bit higher, 300 isnt TERRIBLE but it is a bit high in my opinion, however if there defined to your insurance company as "sports" cars then it will also be higher. Thats why its sometimes not bad to find a 4cyl and have the swap. Still have the same vin but with a v8 =P, although i dont recommend it.

I pay 50 dollars a month for liability on my 95 v8.

I pay around 1500 a year for my Grand Prix GTP and my 94 GT, but I only insure the mustang for the summer
I am 27 with several accidents and speeding tickets, but I am an engineer so we get a "Proffesional Rate" so mine isn't that bad

RE: insurance on the 5.0's
I'm 25, i've been "written" 47 tickets, contested all but 4 of them in court (those 4 are on my record, one of which is 107 in a 55) 23 guilty verdicts with 1-6 month supervision and 20 NOT GUILTY (partially because i cut deals with the DA to plead guilty on some of those 23) but my insurance went up to near 300 per month with my first 5.0 which is 90% of the reason i sold it. Now with my second fox (which was a 4 banger converted to 5.0 and insurance doesn't know) i'm paying $155 per month WITH my 03 GSXR1000 full coverage total!!!!

47 TICKETS!?! You're going to kill someone...
Anyhow.. '98 S10 PLPD. '99 Wrangler Sahara Full Coverage, '91 GT Full Coverage, '83 Eagle Wagon comprehensive only (storage insurance) - $116/month with Grange.
I'm 28 with one ticket currently on my record and no accidents. I have every discount they offer (multi-car, multi-policy, platinum driver, etc).
