I have a leak through my cowl on my 87 Gt and Am going over all possible ways to fix it. I cannot find where exactly it is leaking from I have already patched some big bastard holes but there must be a spot right under the windsheild or something. I know it is not the windsheild since I had it professionaly removed and reinstalled.
My Idea is to fab up a piece of metal to fit up inside the black cowl cover painted black and seal it all up with a bead of black silicone or urithane. The only visable spots would be on top of the plastic windsheild trim pieces and the back of the plastic cowl.
Should this work or is this the stupidest Idea you all have ever heard.
Also I am not certain that it is leaking from the cowl but it is coming from that general area. The water is running in under the firewall sound deadining and pooling on my drivers side floor.

The problem with that idea is that the cowl is where the air for the vents comes in.
