Im looking into getting a new cam for my car, its an 89 mustang gt with a bbk cai, and dual chamber flowmasters. what cam would you reccomend?
when i change out the cam i will probably also get a new throttle body. would you reccomend a 65mm or 70, the engines basically stock and i know if i go too big performance will be worse than before. And does it really matter what brand the throttle body is? theres a bbk 65mm t/b for over 200 and the summit is 130 is the bbk really that different? Would i need the egr plate too? im guessing yes but i just want to be sure.
I have an offroad h pipe for my car but i dont have it installed, would it be woth it to put it on or will the gains be so small that it wouldnt matter? and how much louder would it be, im tryin not to get noticed by the cops that much? if i change the h pipe i will probably get headers too, i found some bbk shorys for 130, with shortys is there anything else i would need other than the actual headers themselves and gaskets?

i wouldnt do just a cam and tb... money can be spend elsewhere for better gains

definitly right, id go get some gears firstand put that h pipe on it will be louder but not enough to get pulled over and it will give you good gains, same with the headers. Get the summit brand because it is a bbk throttle body its the same thing or go to blue oval and get some chrome shorties for 125 and a pro products throttle body which is 120 so youd save a few $$$. Worry about a cam when your ready and have the money to do the heads as well.

I have 3.08s in it but i dont know if that was stock or not, i think it was the factory option. o I forgot about blue oval, thanks.
i dont know if i want to go with higher gearing. i live in the country so im often movin around 80 at like 3200 rpm how much higher would it be with 3.55s? or 3.73s?
Im still not sure about the catless h pipe, because in my area theres only 3 mustangs mine and 2 others one looks almost like mine but his is a piece of ****, and theres like an 03 mustang thats black too that people think is me, ive been going down the street and have been stopped by people pissed off saying I almost ran over them or their kids. thats why im kinda sketchy to do that. The cops now me because of riding dirtbikes on the road, they now my car and that i just got my license. living in a small town sux. lol.
should i get the 65 mm? and i dont know and its probably a stupid question but do i need the egr spacer? thanks for all your help

what 80 at 3200!!! at 2700 i get 80 with 3.73's! yes you should get the egr other wise its pointless getting the TB... when i was stock i whent with a 70mm, but thats because i planed ahead on what i want to do.

realy? i had 273's in mine and got 85-90 at 2k[8D]. and pulled a 14.03. this is why im pissed i only droped .2 on my 1/4[:@]... but it was hot.

i got a 13.8 with 373's and a aubor pro carrier. and when i had the 2.73'si got a 14.03 one legger! i was or should i say am pissed that i only droped .2... my 60's droped .2 as well. mph where almost the same. i blame it on the heat. i better get like 13.6 atleast if not i would be pissed.
