any moving violation that carries a conviction or like if you pay the fine/infraction = conviction admission of guilt..anyway each such infraction whatever it may be carries a point value and when you incure 12 points in less than a 8 year period I believe in maryland?? your licence is suspended and here after a 3 year period the points are removed from your record I believe..anyway it works like that in a way here

if you have another car in the family put your name on that and a parent on the mustang...if youre not on any car, even after you have 3 years driving experience, youre still considered a beginner driver for 3 years once youre put on your own car. so basically if youre not on a car at all youre just prolonging your high rates. i was on my little brothers thunderbird, he was on my moms trailblazer, and my mom was on my 5.0. that way everythings insured and you still get the driving experience (in the insurance company's eyes)

yeah, you can play all the games you want with the rates, but if you are in the mustang and are in an accident and not rated on that particular car, they check that and send a notice to underwriting (basically the rate risk/cost control department) and surprise surprise in the pocket when it is time to renew!
