No I am not putting one/aquiring one/ getting one to put in my notch. Now I have a 93 f150 4x4 and it has a open diff in the back. I do have a LSC complete rear that has the 5 lug rear disc stuff I was going to put on my notch before I die but realized that it had a Limited Slip in it! My question is, is the f150 a 28 spline axle and can I switch JUST the diff between the rears? Not the gears or pinion, JUST the diff itself. Thanks In advance!

most are 31 spline in the trucks and 4x4 rangers

I know my 4x4 ranger is 28 spline and my mustang 8.8 is the same....the guts can be swapped around. I am also pretty sure the F-150 is the same deal, just not sure of the spline count

well yeah I figured that as well but I was stopped at the spline count and dont exactly feel like tearing my cover off and pulling an axle to see it is different you know? But my guess is since the f150 is the biggest thing that the 8.8 is under it must be 31 spline

8.8" 1/2 tontruck rears are 31 spline and the lug pattern is different than a cars. Car 5 lugs are 5x4 1/2 and the trucks are 5x5.
