how'd you guys do a heater core w/o discharge A/C
My buddy and I did my 87 gt heatercore and I couldn't see how anyone could remove the heatercore without discharging and disconnecting the A/C.
Is there a link of someone that did it with out discharging ac. How can this be done, to late now but couldn't figure out how anyone accomplished this feat.

The a/c must be discharged unless you butcher the hvac box in the car like I've seen some butchers do.

Did mine without butchering the box or discharging the A/C. Its really not that hard.

Its possible just need to be care full pulling back on the box and making sure the lines come through the firewall slightly without screwing all up......but why take a chance if your a novice and or a first timer....just let a shop discharge it..cause trust me if you screw it up it'll cost you alot more to fix it then you save
