Keith Craft does top-notch work.

I have been at the shop and had work done through him. Great guy, and awesome shop.

Whoa. Chill out. Thats just what he told me. I've been buying parts from them since i got my car and i go outta my way to use them. I've had no problems with them but that could change. Word of mouth carries fast. I don't know anything about probe stuff but i do know the good quality but expensive parts. I use to help one of my good friends build and work on his modified imca dirt car and we had problems with scat, and eagle then we went and spent the money on the best parts money could buy that had a excellent name for themselves like callies and crower and so on and our problems went away. Maybe it was luck but i dont think so.All in all you get what you pay for.

you want more about amp? trust me, i live in az as well and i have never heard one good thing about them. the only reason the shop ever opened was because tom's dad had a ton of money and and he like mustangs..thats it. the shop is a joke, and i feel sorry for anyone who does any business with them

just to stay somewhat on topic, i think probe would be all you need

Dont waste your time with AMP. Another place for strokers is http://www.ohiocrank.com/home.html
I've never heard anything bad about them.

you tend to get what you pay for....but if you are looking to only put down 400 hp and you do not plan on power adders and such....what is wrong with the stock crank....eagle or scat should be fine also....but howards , callies , or forged units are really not needed at that power level...put the money elsewhere...suspension mods perhaps.

If you're in AZ, go with Foxbodyperformance. Guy is very stand up and honest with his work. I've gone through him for my transmission build and some wiring projects. Couldn't be happier.

I have some experiences with both Eagle and Scat.
Eagle crank only needed $300 worth of work and the guy that did the balancing told me not to bring another like that in his door.
Scat crank needed nothing, balanced out good right away, measured out out good too.
Eagle rods were not round either on the big end or the small end.
Scat rods were good on both ends, even the machinist said they were about the best he'd ever seen.
Just what I know about the stuff.
BTW, any American made crank is going to cost $1000+ as a starter....
