Default installing gauge pod

Im going to put a full pillar pod in my car hopefully this weekend and i was wondering if any of yall have done this before? I was reading the instructions and it says you can just put this over the stock one. do you have to do it this way or are they just suggest to do it that way? i wouldnt think that would look very good. The reason i got the full one is because i wanted to replace the stock pillar. If any of yall have any experiece with this can you give me an idea of how this is suppose to be done?

i put one in my car, a single though, its pretty easy stuff, i mounted mine as far down as i could, so its right over the speaker, take the piller cover off, put your pod on the cover where you want it, and have someone drill some holes while you push it down, drill a bigger hole beforte you do all that to run all of your lines and such through then just put in the car run lines and put the pushpins in to hold it on to the cover. might sound confusing but youll see
that its easy

i had a dual on my old mustang. i just put it over the old one but i like the ones that replace the whole pillar. i did the same as him by drilling holes. it looked pretty good after i hid the wires and cleaned it up...the one thing i hated was the glare. did anyone else notice the glare on the windsheild?

Yea this IS the one that replaces the whole pillar.... i think both of you guys are talking about the ones that just sit on top of the a-pillar. He is saying this one is the full a-pillar but the instructions are saying you can just put it over the old a-pillar plastic. Does that mean you can do it both ways? or do they suggest you put over the old pillar. Seems to me 1. it wouldn't look that great/maybe be sticking out. 2. Be pointless to get the full one if you are gonna leave the old one on there and have to dril holes in it and ruin it.
He had told me about it before is why i know.... trying to clarify the question is all.
