Shift at lower rpms, no jack rabbit starts, good tune up. I know the feeling with mileage, I get 13 mpg no matter how I drive.

yeah, i gotta run 30 miles a day to school so trying to get as much as i can outta that tank is important.

i have a 4banger but untill i get it running good i cant drive it up there, hell i can run back and forth all week and still only burn half a tank at most (thats with driving around after my classes)
In the 5.0 i run to school and home im at 3/5 then drive again the next day im at half....[:@]with no driving just going to school and home haha its terrible.

my last tank of gas i got terrible gas milage, i usually get close to around 300 to a tank. Anywhere from 265-320. However this tank....i got like 200 even. I couldn't believe it. Granted I had my foot in it A LOT but still, I was really shocked at how low it got. I refilled it up today and will be driving it alllllll day tomorrow because im picking up some secret car parts. Hopefully I will get the 300 to a tank I usually get, if not theres an issue. If I dont get my 300, then I will be changing my fuel filter, buying a FPR to check what my pressure is, and really keeping my foot out of it. Thanks for your input.

Question to all, kinda on subject. How often do you do a full tune up? plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc.

is there anything else i can do to the engine to make it perform better?...

I think so far ive done..
Plugs
Pcv
Bunch of sensors
Air filter
Tire pressure
Fuel Filter
Cleaned the IAC
Throttle Body
Ran a few bottles of injector cleaner
Not sure that itd do anything but i ran a few tanks of premium threw it when i first started running the car

I do need to put wires and a new distributor cap and rotor, but even then that wont make that big of a difference will it?
