Default Harwood Hood Fitment

I'm trying to get my Harwood Cobra R hood on my car and the damn thing just won't fit right. One side is hitting the fender and won't close. I tried pushing the hinges over a bit to give more clearance but it just won't give me enough. How do I get this thing to fit right? Thanks.

Have you tried loosening the 4 mounting bolts to adjust instead of trying to force the hinges over. If that's what you're doing. By your description anyway Pleas correct me if I'm wrong. Also try measuring the hood to be sure that's not causing the fitment issue. Is this a new hood?

Yeah, it's a brand new hood. The hood isn't too wide, I have about a 1/4" of play on the driver's side and nothing on the passenger side. If I could get it to go over a hair more towards the driver side, it may clear. Are you talking about the mounting bolt that connect the hinge to the hood itself?

ya i had some issues putting my stock hood back on after i had my fiberglass one on. it will just take a lot of trial and error w/ how you bolt up the hinges. try angleing the hinges a bit. like the top more towards the center than the bottom. stuff like that

Yes, that's really the only place that leaves room for adjustment. Loosen them up and shift the hood around. You may need another set of hands for it. So instead of a 1/4" on the d/s, you have an 1/8" on each side.

If Summit Racing carried it I would have, but to pay $100+ for shipping when I can go pick one up for free is just silly.
