RE: Carb my 302?
But if you already have EFI it's not always cheaper to go to a carb setup, you have to buy an intake and a carb, plus other little things, fuel lines/fittings etc. It is a lot less clutter though.

I find it somewhat amusing that it's EFI guys who say "EFI is better, switch from carb to EFI." And the carb guys say "Carb is better for certain things, but leave it the way it is cuz that's easier."

wqhen i built my motor the main reason i changed my car from f/i to carb is one... a carb is so much less work (once you get it ) as far as tuning and is better for making power... now if u are planning to supercharge it or maybe put a turbo... then u basically have no choise but to leave it f/i so there would be no point in changing it

RE: Carb my 302?
Yeah, blowthrough carbs can make oodles of power. I even saw a Mustang running in Grand Am several years back with a carb'd pushrod engine that was a blowthrough turbo. Needless to say it had quite a bit more power than any other car in it's class. They're just not easy to tune from what I understand.
