im about to buy a motor, and i was wondering tit for tat, which motor would be better to go with, i can get both for the same money, both are small block, im runin a t5 tranny in an 86 gt fuel injected, both are roller motors minus the roller rockers. im not talking about modded motors just based on stock motors which would be the better motor to go with 351w small block ho, or the 302 ho, im just undecided!!

It all depends on what you want your end result to be.

I'd say you go with the 351W.

ok but i have had different people say different things, like you cant turn up a 351 to as high of an rpm as the 302, but which one of the two makes more stock-power?

How high you rev will depend alot on your valve train. The year of blocks would help in determining stock for stock hp. It should really be no question as to what block you get. You have to pay for a stroker kit to get 347 ci. The ci are already there in a 351. The 351 stock for stock will be a stronger block also. You have more room to grow with the 351, like 393,408,427. To answer your question. Tit for Tat, stock for stock, go with the 351.

will all of the pully system off of my 302 i have now bold directly on the 351, or will i need to buy new pully system for it to work, i know the 351 and 302 heads are interchangeable and all but was not sure if this was a direct bolt up.
