I have a 1995GT no mods.When i am driving i have this noise that comes from my wheel area when i break the sound goes away until i release the brake pedal it is not the squeal you get from the brakes being worn down but the sound is similar and it is coming from the same area.When the car is idling i don`t have the sound either.The mechamic says my brakes pads are okay ,but i think i need to replace them i also want to replace my rotors all at the same time.Any insight would be appreciated.

Ok so is it a rotational noise the increases/decreases w/ speed? What does it sound like. Maybe something is loose. Brake pad, caliper bolt, wheel bearing, loose tie rod end. It could be a lot of things. Ok so you took it to a mocanic and he couldn't tell you what it was? Find a new one!!
