Large cam on speed density system usually doesn't work well after it warms up and goes into closed loop.

full mod list... sd or maf? where did it used to idle? etc... more info

if its SD dont even stress about a vac leak, a small one wont do much to ya
im a SD car and the only mods i know of are 373 gears exhaust and that autozone intake.

im pretty sure the rest of the car is stock.

i just bought the car.

ive only owned it like this.

idle at about 800rpms with small lope and then it fades bad after a while and lopes bad.

if its not a vac leak then what?

looks like a vac leak to me man. mine used to idel fine until it warmed up, then at light is would go from 850-300 sometimes lower. tuned out i had a SMALL little crack in my intake pipe that was connected to the IAC valve. my suggestion is go over every hose with a fine tooth comb.

As mentioned above...start smart, pull the codes, fix the codes, then proceed to check vac lines.

Have you scanned the computer for codes?

places around here cant get the codes for 1995 or lower.

i tryied the water thing around the intake manifold and it bubbled in three places so i bought all Felpro gaskets for the...

TB to EGR plate, EGR plate to the Upper intake manifold, and from Upper to Lower manifold.

and also my Throttle position sensor was reading 1.2 amps so i fixed it to about .9 amps.

all hoses are good now. (used the WD-40 trick)

after the gaskets should i be good with the idle?

i also bought a Gates belt mine was too long and squealed, motorcraft platinum plugs, and motorcraft plug wires, Mobil one synthetic oil, motorcraft oil filter, and that engine restore stuff.

thanks for all the help!

will post after i put the gaskets on.

?!?!?!?!? is there anything special i need to know about putting any of those gaskets on ?!??!?!

ok seriously... if u had a vac leak all that would happen is it would idle a little high... it would not cause these problems

look elsewhere like ur IAC, tps, map sensor, spark and fuel

i use plus fuel. (should i use preimium?), i just got new plugs and wires and distributor cap, ive cleaned the IAC, and adjusted the TPS.

where is the map sensor located?
