ok, 1 last time: i have an 88 lx notchback mustang that i am doing a 5.0 swap on. the new motor came out of an 84 mustang gt, it is the original motor for that car, and the motor in my car is the original motor (with almost 300,000 miles on it without ever being went into except for replacing a head gasket one time.) i will be running the factory holley carb off of the 84 for now, with a possible stand alone efi kit later on down the road. my question is what all parts will i need to do this swap and if their is any interesting or weird procedures in doing the swap. i currently have new prothane motor mounts for the 5.0 and a new fuel pressure regulator ( i will be running the factory 4-cylinder electric efi fuel pump for now.) i also have the factory headers off of a 86 gt and will have my local exhaust shop build the rest of the exhaust for me. any help or advice would be great!

I also am doing an 88 LX Notchback conversion. I built a nasty 347 for mine so the factory 4 cyl. fuel system won't work. I bought a Blue pump and a sump to go on my tank and will plumb the tubing to the carb. I am also running a full MSD ignition, only two things I can think of that you will have trouble with for now. If you want a fully working dash cluster, You are gonna have to get someone else on here for that help because I haven't got that far yet.
