you'll get mixed responses on here. i remember seeing that RP doesnt even meet the latest standards for motor oil. whats that all about? [&:]
me? on a motor that old i'd stick with a quality "dino" oil in the 10w40 flavor. personally I have always found good luck with pennzoil. im using pennz 5w20 full syn in my 2006 GT and its done me well so far.
for what its worth, moble 1 is also very good oil - but i did a big research on all the major manufacturers once and redline actually spec'd out to be the best.

What, no one recommending Amsoil? There is almost always an Amsoil salesman who jumps in on these oil threads.
I use non-syn oil in everthing I own from Cummins diesel Ram to 56 T'bird, two Harleys, Jeep, the '93 LX, a diesel Kubota, Cub ZTR, etc. I change at factory recommended intervals and use factory suggested weight. I don't worry about brand as long as the container shows it meets the latest specs. Of course I use diesel oil in the diesels.
The only time I vary from that is a radical built motor, which I don't own any more.

most of my cars take 10w-30 since they are usually all 100k+, but my cobra is on a diet of 5w20 dino oil, and 0w20 mobil1 after the break-in
