Good news!!! kinda.....
well, after working all winter building my new engine, hiding wires, and smoothing the engine bay (i'll post some pics soon), i finally got my 5.0 off the jack stands, back on the ground, and took it for a thunder run on saturday!! of course, everything can`t always go smoothly without problems...what would be the fun it that, right?[:-]so here's the problems; everytime i go to start it, i have to hold it open full throttle, and once it starts it will won't idle! I drove it around a little thinking that if it warmed up, it might be okay, well needless to say I was wrong.I double checked all the vacuum lines and readjusted the throttle position sensor. I have my fuel pressure bumped to about 45. Anyone have any ideas for me before I just go buya chevy???? j/k i wouldn`t do that![:-]I thought about changing the oxygen sensors or changing the egr valve to start somewhere?? Help me out guys, i`m clueless!!

is you mass air meter conected? have you upgrade the mass air sensor to one that is calibrated for your mods . my dads gt was doing the same thing we check all the vacume lines and stuff and i found that the mass air meter wasn't hooked up , i mean plug was on it but not fully conected.

You didn't hook a vacuum line to the BAP sensor on the firewall did you? It was used as a MAP sensor on non MAF cars. It is located near the wiper motor on the firewall (black box).
