Is it 31 or 28 spline axles (not sure if you can even get a 28 spline Detriot Locker)? Are they aftermarket axles, if so what brand? 9" are easy to work on and fairly toughbut you have to spend some jack to make them hold up to serious power or ahard hitting stick shift. My dad spent a war pension in his to keep from breaking it.
