Hey everyone need sum recomendations.
Hey just pulled my 255 out of my thunderbird. We went to take apart my h.o. 302 and the oil pan was full of ice. Idk what to do. My buddys dad knows a guy who can clean it all up and put in new bearings and rings..Is there a better option. My plans were just to make a decent good running motor for in my car. I already have bbk unequal length headers, edlebrock 4 barrel intake, holley 650, and sum gt40p's. Idk what to do...realli bumbed..i dont have tons of money to build a motor.. My plans with the 302 before this happened is what all i have and a trickflow stage 1 cam. Ive seen the stroker motors and realli like them but i hear there pricy...thanks alot. ROb.

i would have the block checked if there was ice in your oilpan that means the head gaskets blew and on top of that they used straight water in the cooling system in the other car , i would have the block checked to see if it has any cracks from the water freezeing up in it . deffintly redo the bottom end for sure .

so everyone so far the plans are going to do a 306. Anyone recomend something differnt. The macninist said 150 for all the machining, which is hot tanking, polish the crank, bore and hone. And he could get me pistons and everything including cam and lifters of my choice for 700..is that sound like a good deal or should i go a differnt route? lmk opinions. thanks.
